Under Canadian Law: Beeswax candle producers are only required to use a total of 10% beeswax in order to represent their candles as '100% beeswax!'
With these loose industry standards, most individuals who believe they have always burned pure beeswax candles, have very likely never been in possession of a candle which is anywhere near pure beeswax!
Certain Canadian' hand dripped' candle makers have only recently revealed that their candle's are less than 80% pure, while their 'Cheeky' competitors make no comment at all about the additives to their product! Both of these candle producers charge as if they were only using pure beeswax?
Black Forest Candles
Our Beeswax Policy: We at Black Forest Candles, feel that by giving the customer exactly what they believe they are paying for, at prices reflective of our actual costs, we will be able to establish a new level of trust in the candle crafting industry , as well as a new appreciation for our beloved beeswax!
When we tell you our only wax ingredient is 100% pure beeswax that is what we mean!
Beeswax produces more vibrant, life like color candles than any other wax on the planet. The difference between the natural and realistic color possible with beeswax when compared to any other wax is as obvious as night and day!
Beeswax produces colors you would expect to find in a lush, healthy garden, with a depth that is only found in nature!
Pure Beeswax Fact: Beeswax is a highly viscous wax. Candle molds are traditionally meant to be used for waxes that expand when heated, and retract cleanly when cooled. (One reason crafters mix paraffin with beeswax) Pure beeswax does not cleanly retract when cooled. As a result, most beeswax candles are not the perfect, flawless pillars we are accustomed to with paraffin wax candles.
Pure beeswax candles are beautiful, elegant and naturally flawed works of art!
Note: Many of the pictured candles appear to be slightly curved. We guarantee that each of the candles are straight sided. We don't know why they appear curved in the photos? This visual effect only happens with our beeswax candles. If you have any ideas on the subject, please feel free to share!
(When we have time, we will make another attempt at photographing them)
